I’m attending the Online Educa Berlin 2009 this week. Check out this post to read what I’m up to at the conference.
I’ll be using Twitter for updates and reflections, using the tag #oeb2009. And of course to keep my colleagues back home informed (and make them jealous). You can use this tag in Twitter to create a backchannel of informal ideas, reflections, conversations from all tweeps at the conference. Join the conversation or just let the information flow. Like a radioshow on the background, if you ‘hear’ something interesting, just turn up the volume.
A great backchannel-tool is a ‘Twub‘. A twub is a Twitter-group organized around a hashtag. It contains a live feed with tweets, but members can also contribute media, links and RSS-feeds. Sort of a social media landscape of the conference, which you can embed in your website or blog (see below).
I’ve created a twub for the Online Educa Berlin ’09, it aggregates the tweets with the hashtags #oeb2009 and #oeb09. Please join and retweet!
